Residential & After School Programs

Dear Parents,

Our office is responsible for a variety of school programs and functions. In order to best serve you, we have listed these student-related functions, along with the names, and phone numbers of those you can contact for assistance.

After School Programs
We believe we have an after school program second to no other in the country. This opportunity for all of students from kindergarten through age 21 years is made possible with support from your local school district. The local district provides a late bus (5:00 P.M.) to allow your child’s participation. We are fortunate to have two recreation therapists to help us meet the needs of all our students. We are able to develop individual programs to meet the needs of our diverse population. For more information on our programs, please contact Steve Bauman at extension 108 or Sean Maloney at extension 207 (TTY or V.P. only). Please contact Julie Seier with any questions related to daily transportation and late buses at extension 124.

Residential Services
We have a 5-day residential program in which we typically serve approximately one-third of our entire student population. Students live at school Monday through Thursday evening and are provide a home-like environment. Special care and individual attention is provided each student by our support staff to help meet all their academic, behavior, and social needs. For more information, call supervisors Jennifer Norsen (ext. 211) or Mark Dulakis (ext. 217). For information on placement in our residential program, please call me at extension 195.

Tutorial services
Our after school staff works closely with our teachers and academic staff to provide a time and place where your child can receive additional academic support. For more information, please call me at extension 195.

Student community service
Prior to graduating from our program, we will identify and facilitate a number of community service opportunities for your child to further enhance their life experiences. Whether visiting folks in a nursing home, feeding the poor, or helping to clean up the community in which we live, our students learn how to help those less fortunate than themselves. For more information, please call me at extension 195.

Transportation for children under age five years old
If your child is under five years of age, we establish the daily transportation and act as the liaison between the home and the bus company. You can call Julie Seier at extension 124 for more information.

Free & reduced lunch forms
We will follow up with you to be sure you have submitted the proper forms to determine if you are eligible for free and reduced lunch. Please e-mail Carolyn Cross at with any questions.
We look forward to a great school year!  Please let us know how we may best assist you. Thank you!
