Action Plan #1
Improve Students’ American Sign Language Skills
Goal: Increase student achievement in ASL proficiency as measured by standardized ASL assessments used by an interdisciplinary team including ASL Specialist, Teachers, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
Objective: By Spring of 2030, 75% or more of students in all grades will show growth of at least one year or more in ASL proficiency on ASL assessments.

Improve Staffs’ American Sign Language Skills and Cultural Competency
Goal: Increase staff ASL proficiency as measured by the Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) assessments; Increase staffs’ knowledge of Deaf Culture as measured by pre (fall) and post (spring)testing.
Objective: By Spring of 2030, 75% or more of all staff with SLPI ratings of intermediate or below, will show growth of at least one step on the SLPI scale; 90% of staff will score 85% or higher on cultural learning post test.
