Game Recaps 2025-2026
1/13/26
We faced a tough and well-organized Central Baptist team that communicated extremely well on both ends of the floor and did a great job covering all of our scoring options. We struggled to get into a consistent flow offensively and had difficulty defensively, but we continued to compete and battle on the boards.
Yaindhi Garcia Agustin led the team with 12 rebounds, and Zarielle Ormsby added 9 points. As a team, we finished with 29 rebounds, and moving forward our biggest focus is improving our stamina so we can play hard and execute better for the entire game.

Last night was a grind, but I’m proud of how the girls kept fighting and learning. We went in short-handed with three players out, including our best defender. She usually guards the top player, creates turnovers, and contributes on offense, so missing her made things extra challenging.
Offensively, the first half was rough. We scored just 2 points in the first quarter and 4 in the second. But in the second half, the girls pulled a Buffalo Bills move and everything started clicking, just like the Bills do after halftime. The girls got the hang of screening, their confidence grew, the ball moved better, and we attacked the net. We scored 12 in the third and 10 in the fourth, showing a big improvement.
Zarielle Ormsby led the way with 22 points. Yaindhi Garcia Agustin battled inside and grabbed 9 rebounds. Samiah Cade and ThaEr Say stepped up on defense and gave solid minutes while our bench was short.
Even tired and outnumbered, this team never gave up. The second-half effort shows the heart of this squad, and I’m excited to keep building from here.
Record 1-4

The Lady Bisons battled hard on the road against Rochester School for the Deaf. RSD jumped out early with hot perimeter shooting and built a lead, but the Bisons never quit.
Zarielle Ormsby led the way with a double-double, scoring 10 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. Yaindhi Garcia Agustin added 4 points and 7 rebounds, doing the tough work inside against a physical RSD frontcourt. Laurieliz contributed 5 steals and hustled on every play. The team finished with 34 total rebounds and fought to limit second-chance opportunities all night.
The Lady Bisons will keep building on their rebounding, ball movement, and communication on defense as they prepare for their next game.
12/17/25
We played Rochester School for the Deaf yesterday and had some strong moments, but consistency was a challenge. We ended up losing the game 17-59.
Offensively, ball security hurt us. Turnovers kept us from running our plays and finding rhythm on offense. We also missed shots and didn’t finish on second-chance opportunities, which made scoring difficult. Zarielle scored 9 points with 1 assist and a steal, Yaindhi added 6 points with 3 rebounds and a steal, Emily Lynn had 2 points and 1 rebound, Laurieliz recorded 3 steals and 1 rebound, Isabella contributed 1 assist, and Julie Raye added 3 steals.
Defensively, we showed effort on the boards, grabbing 18 rebounds, but we weren’t consistent with communication, rotations, or getting back in transition. Those lapses allowed RSD to control the pace of the game.
Moving forward, our focus will be on the basics which is taking better care of the ball, making stronger decisions, improving shot selection, and maintaining defensive intensity for all four quarters. The effort and flashes we showed give us something to build on, and with continued work in practice, we’re confident we’ll keep moving in the right direction.

The Girls Varsity Bisons earned their first home win of the season, and it was a great moment for this team. I’m excited to continue growing with them this year as their new head coach.
This game was all about defense and effort. The girls were flying around all game, forcing 13 turnovers and finishing with 16 total rebounds as a team. Everyone bought in and worked for each other.
Zarielle Ormsby led with 16 points and 7 rebounds, bringing energy on both ends of the floor. Yaindhi Garcia added 7 points and 6 rebounds. Laurieliz Saquicella had an unbelievable defensive night with 4 steals and scored 7 points, a new career high in just her second season of basketball after only starting last year! Huge moment for her. Samiah Cade and Isabella Centinello both made an impact with their effort, hustle, and presence on the floor.
Thank you to everyone who came out to watch and cheer the girls on! We hope to see you back at home next Thursday and Friday to support the team!
