Transition from Remind to ParentSquare July 2026

We are excited to announce St. Mary’s School for the  Deaf has transitioned to a new communication platform called ParentSquare for the 2026-2027 school year.

ParentSquare has replaced Remind, our past communication system, which has been discontinued.  ParentSquare is an easy-to-use communication tool that combines multiple communication modalities into one interface for our families and staff.  Our hope is that ParentSquare will deepen family engagement and help us to sharpen our communication methods.

Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:

  • Receive messages from our school via email, text message, phone call, or mobile app notification
  • Two-way texting with automatic translation 
  • Communicate in your preferred language
  • View school announcements and calendar events in one place
  • Digitally sign permission slips
  • Choose what time you receive messages

Please take the time to register your account to get the most out of ParentSquare. Although parents are not required to register, we highly encourage you to do so.  Without registering, you will still be able to recieve messages, but will not be able to participate, return permission slips, or interact fully with our school staff.  

The registration process is easy.  You will be able to register by clicking the link inside the invitation and entering your email or phone number, and creating a password.  Once registered, you’ll be all set to communicate with us!

Stay Informed about School Closure

  • St. Mary’s School for the Deaf will post school closings on the local news and radio stations
  • St. Mary’s School for the Deaf will send a notification through ParentSquare to parents and staff members alerting when school is closed
