For over 170 years, St. Mary's School for the Deaf has been a beacon of hope, empowering countless deaf, hard-of-hearing, severely disabled, and refugee children, ages 0-21, from all eight counties of Western NY. Our mission is to provide equitable access and inclusion to an adaptable and comprehensive education that empowers our students to become self-directed, lifelong learners who are exemplary members of society.

The Foundation for Deaf Education is committed to supporting St. Mary's mission. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. We are dedicated to creating an adaptable, equitable, and inclusive environment where each child can flourish. We fund programs and services not covered by New York State funding, offering these remarkable children opportunities they cannot find anywhere else.
