Transition from Remind to ParentSquare July 2026

We are excited to announce St. Mary’s School for the  Deaf will be transitioning to a new communication platform called ParentSquare for the 2026-2027 school year.

ParentSquare is replacing Remind, our current communication system, which has been discontinued.  ParentSquare is an easy-to-use communication tool that combines multiple communication modalities into one interface for our families and staff.  Our hope is that ParentSquare will deepen family engagement and help us to sharpen our communication methods.

Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:

  • Receive messages from our school via email, text message, phone call, or mobile app notification
  • Two-way texting with automatic translation 
  • Communicate in your preferred language
  • View school announcements and calendar events in one place
  • Digitally sign permission slips
  • Choose what time you receive messages

No action is needed right now.  Soon, we will share steps to get you started and how to activate your account and customize your preferences.

Stay Informed about School Closure

  • St. Mary’s School for the Deaf will post school closings on the local news and radio stations
  • St. Mary’s School for the Deaf will send a notification through ParentSquare to parents and staff members alerting when school is closed
