Dr. Griswold is a seasoned academic leader with a distinguished career in nursing administration and education. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Administrative Leadership from Walden University, a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, and a Business of Nursing certificate from Villa Julie College.

With extensive experience in both clinical and academic settings, Dr. Griswold has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing nursing education and practice. She has held leadership positions within various organizations, including serving as Dean of Nursing. Her research has focused on critical issues in nursing education, such as student retention and the impact of workplace bullying.

In 2015, Dr. Griswold attended the Academic Leadership Nursing Leadership Academy at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. As Dean of Nursing, she played a pivotal role in securing a $1.8 million HRSA Nursing Workforce Diversity grant to implement the Pathways to Nursing Success program, which aims to increase diversity within the nursing profession.

Dr. Griswold is the founder and president of Health Care Educators and Legal Nurse Consultants, Inc. She has published numerous articles and presented her work at local, national, and international conferences.

Her connection to St. Mary’s School for the Deaf (SMSD) is deeply personal. Her mother worked at the school, and her hard-of-hearing son attended Maryland School for the Deaf. During her son’s time at MSD, she volunteered in classrooms, served as a nurse in the student health center, and ultimately became the Director of Nursing.

Dr. Griswold is passionate about SMSD’s commitment to providing high-quality deaf education and fostering a strong sense of community. She aligns with the school’s mission to empower students as unique individuals and believes in the transformative impact of deaf education.
