Family ASL Classes
One of the biggest and most meaningful programs the Family Center runs throughout the year is our Family ASL Class Program. At no cost to families, SMSD provides the opportunity for any family member of current students to learn American Sign Language (ASL). We strive to support families and promote communication access, which is vital to our students' linguistic, social, and emotional development. Classes aim to foster meaningful communication in your daily family life.

Our ASL classes are not currently open to the public. However, if you are interested in creating an ASL class for your local collaborating organization, please contact Beth Winters at 716-834-7200 ext. 355 or email bethw@smsdk12.org for more information.
